“Design books are often expensive and contrary ? sometimes the book is worth having for the physical production values alone, sometimes for the images, sometimes for the words and, occasionally, for all three. WiFi takeover
How do you make your message stand out in a space that’s already overpopulated with advertising? You put it everywhere, of course.
Jung von Matt out of Hamburg has created a guerrilla WiFi campaign for its car rental client, Sixt, in German airports. Multiple open wireless networks are set up at the Sixt airport counters. When accessed, a Web page with the latest offers from Sixt is pulled up, complete with a map to guide viewers to the nearest Sixt counter.
Rewiring the creative mind
Interesting article I read in Fast Company on rewiring the creative mind and how neuroscience is shedding new light on creativity and ideas. Biologically, our minds are conditioned for repetitive thinking. It sometime takes an unplanned event or occurrence to break us of this, especially when our minds are looking for a new idea. With the economy how it is today, some could say sticking with what works and what we know as ideas makes sense, but really what our economy needs now is fresh ideas, some new thinking. Anyway, read the article if you’d like, but I encourage folks to do stuff outside their normal routine and be spontaneous; it may spark some ideas.
My digital ad can beat up your digital ad

New Microsoft Ad. 3 Times Longer. Just as Weird.
Here’s the new one. While it does have more of a “plot” than the shoe-fitting episode, it’s equally quirky.
The good news? No churros.
